John 20:23

Photobucket

John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
(Christ Speaking to the Apostels after resurrection.)
The Apostels were given the many gifts of the Holy Spirit during pentecost. When you comprehend the use of the term Elohim you can better understand what is being said in this verse.
______________Elohim notes______________
Deut. 6:4 ("God"- Elohim - unified plural - Devine Judgement (judges)/ Lord singular- Echad/ unified One) = 1 Jn 5:7 (3 offices One Many Membered Body /judge/ment/) / Exodus 7:1 - Moses made a god - Elohim - judge. / here he is one of three mentioned The LORD, Moses, Aaron. Where one is all three are The Spirit of Truth, The Word and The LORD!
In Jn 20:23 each Apostel (sent forth one) has become one as well! When one is a member of Elohim (*Instrument of the Holy Spirit) they do not the will of themselves, they dont make personal judgements according to their own understandings.

Jn.5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. -Yeshua

Ps.19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Matt.18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Such Instruments of The Father give all credit to The Father. Ps.118:8

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
(saint - set aside one / Nazerite)

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

2 Corinthians 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; (oneness)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

* Matthew 18:23-35 (Parable on forgiveness)

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Mark 2:5-11 - Luke 5:21 ("Who can forgive sins, but God alone?")- Matthew 9:6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 17:3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

-I am mainly focussing on forgiveness here but the rebuke is covered in the same context. (I suggest such blogs as Christian tactics - Rebuke, Trinity, Christ our Passover and Sabbath, and The Word is inspired) Those who seek forgiveness sincery shall be forgiven.

Luke 6:35-38/ Ephesians 4:32/

Matt. 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Note the prophets and disciples always give credit and praise unto the Father in Yeshua Christ's name. Man can be an instrument of God through the holy spirit but it is Christ who is the savior, Passover and Sabbath. All have sinned and the wage of Sin is Death. HEB.2:14 - Man arms him self with the Word, and when one belives and repents they are saved (forgiven) The subject here is how man can serve as an instrument of God and is not about man being a savior we have but one Savior.

* 1 Corinthians 1:21
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (vs.41)

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Timothy 2:4-7 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jn 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us./ Isaiah 53:12

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

God is the heart knower.

Is.43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

John 6:44/ John 14:6/ John 10:7-10/ John 8:12
