ANGER

In the beginning we are given the character of Cain as an example of how anger destroys you from within. Gen.4:5-7 "But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."/ Lets look at these verses in the Tanakh/ "But to Cain and to his offering He did not turn, and it annoyed Cain exceedingly, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you annoyed, and why has your countenance fallen? Is it not so that if you improve, it will be forgiven you? If you do not improve, however, at the entrance, sin is lying, and to you is its longing, but you can rule over it."/ Yet we know that Cain allowed his anger to lead unto sin, He didnt "improve" rather he fell. /Rom.12:21 "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (Eph.5:11)
The difference between the biblical words for Murder and kill is that to Murder is to (lay in wait as to) Cause ones death by taking Your Own Vengance. Cain fueled his anger and allowed it to guide him. Jas.4:1-2 "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not."(Jas.1:14,15,16)/ (Phil.2:3)

1 Tim.4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.... Today we see people being guided by their lusts unto sin constantly. We are living in an age where people live according to their own judgements. Current events are full of Terrorists taking their own vengance much like Cain did. The Enemey would love to fill you with the spirit of anger. Remember we are to forgive in order to be forgiven. Not to forgive will hold you down. G-D will always be the final judge.
Jn.14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Eph.4:26-31 "If ye be angry, sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Jn.14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."/ Jas.1:19-20 "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God."

Proverbs:
Pro.14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.,16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident,17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated,21-22 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good., 29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Pro.15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger., 5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent, 10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die., 12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise, 18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife., 29 The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Pro.16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Pro.25:28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
Pro.17:14 The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.(2 Tim.2:23)
Pro.19:12 The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass. (Ecc.3:8)
Pro.22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
Pro.29:10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

(Jn.16:33)

1 Jn.2:8-11 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
2 Tim.2:24-25 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth..
Matt.5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire

Ps.37:8-9 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
